You Don’t Have to Walk Alone

Patients Helping Patients

Surgery can feel overwhelming. Connecting with other patients can help.

PatientCircle is a patient-led initiative dedicated to researching the effects of peer coaching and non-medical community support on the physical, mental, and emotional health outcomes for surgery patients.

What Patients Are Saying

“I would strongly urge patients to do it [1:1 coaching], as it will help alleviate a lot of fear and uncertainty about the surgery.”

“Having someone to talk to who has experienced cardiac surgery is highly comforting as you navigate the stressors and anxiety of going through, and coming out of, your surgery.”

“It’s helpful at many levels, so something for everyone.”
